Flock & Friends Advent Calendar day 3 - Double Slippers by Liv Stangeland
Welcome to Day 3 of the Flock & Friends Advent Calendar! 🎄✨
Today, we’re exploring one of this season’s coziest trends: felted slippers 💛. When I attended KnitFest in Zürich, quite a few of you told me you were planning to knit a pair this winter, and honestly, who can resist? They’re warm, practical, and just perfect for slow, cosy days at home. Naturally, they had to go straight onto my own bucket list too!
The pattern I’ve been eyeing for ages is the Double Slippers by Liv Stangeland. It’s a free pattern available on the Sandnes Garn website, and it comes in sizes 25/26 up to 44/46, which means you can make them for the whole family. They’re knitted on 5.5 mm needles, so they should be quite a quick and satisfying project to whip up .
The pattern is available in English, but I personally find that parts of it aren’t the most intuitive. So, here are a few video tutorials that might help if you decide to cast on a pair:

For these slippers, I recommend using Re:treat Chunky Roving from West Yorkshire Spinners 🧶. I’ve already started a pair for my daughter in Adore (1), but I’m planning to make more pairs for my partner and myself. I can’t quite decide between Purpose (2), Tranquil (3), or Harmony (4). They’d all make such warm, beautiful slippers!
Have you knitted felted slippers before? If so, please let me know if you have any recommendation!
