Today’s featured pattern is the Brixham Mitts by Fay Dashper-Hughes. This cosy crochet design was created for issue five of The Annual, the in-house magazine from John Arbon Textiles, published in September 2025. The Brixham Mitts are inspired by blustery seaside walks, those deceptively sunny days when a sneaky sea breeze calls for a pair of soft, squishy mittens tucked into your pockets, ready to keep your hands warm.
The pattern includes instructions for both full mittens and fingerless mitts, and is designed for 4ply / fingering-weight yarns. It’s wonderfully versatile, and many colour combinations from the following yarn ranges would look wonderful:
