Today’s pick is irresistibly adorable, it's the Green Frog by Claire Garland. If you love tiny, whimsical knits, this charming little frog will absolutely melt your heart! 🐸💚

The finished frog measures around 10 cm tall, making it the perfect little companion to perch on a bookshelf, desk, or even your Christmas tree. That said, be prepared: it’s knitted on 2 mm needles, which can be a bit tough on the hands (especially if, like me, you tend to knit quite tightly). But the good news is that the pattern includes plenty of step-by-step photos to guide you through the trickier parts.

The designer has thoughtfully sprinkled the pattern with links to eyes, yarn, and wire armature, so you can achieve that perfectly expressive froggy look she’s known for. And if tiny needles aren’t your thing, there’s also a DK version worked on slightly larger needles for a more relaxed project.

🧶 Yarn Recommendation

For this project, I love the idea of using Exmoor Socks by John Arbon Textiles, a beautifully bouncy and durable yarn that works wonderfully for small, detailed knits. I’ve chosen a palette of greens to give the frog different personalities:

Aggy(1) would more soft and earthy when Oolypuggers(3) and Oddmedod(4) would be more on the bright and lively side and don't forget Mizzle(2) as a contrasting yarn.

Each shade creates a completely different mood, so you can go bold or subtle depending on the frog you want to bring to life. 💚✨
